Background and Experience

Hi, I’m Michael Roy, a Computer Science graduate based in Chicago, IL with hands on experience in both software development and enterprise IT systems.

I currently work in healthcare IT, supporting enterprise environments that rely on Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Epic systems, and Zendesk. My role involves identity and access management, managing and resolving IT incidents through a ticketing system, troubleshooting cloud based user accounts, maintaining secure system access, and delivering reliable technical support in a regulated, HIPAA compliant environment.

My technical foundation includes Java, Python, SQL, JavaScript, and full stack development using Spring Boot, React, and RESTful APIs. Through both structured training and real world application, I have built scalable backend services, managed relational databases, and developed secure web applications.

I am particularly interested in cloud infrastructure, identity management, and software engineering, with a focus on building systems that are secure, reliable, and designed to scale.

Outside of technology, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going for walks, and gaming.
